1981

It all began in the summer of 1981, when the Gallipoli coast was still a wild expanse of sand and dreams.

It was then that Pina, with the strength of someone who believes in simple things, opened a small wooden hut. There were no great pretensions, just the desire to offer a little shade, a fresh ice cream, and an ice-cold drink to those who passed by.

In that modest hut, however, there was a secret ingredient that no modern structure can buy: the warmth of a genuine smile. It was a refuge where bathers weren't just passers-by, but immediately became part of a small, yet large, family.

Over the years, the winds of change have transformed the coast, but the soul of that kiosk has remained the same. The Leone family, with passion and tireless dedication, has cared for every inch of this corner of paradise, helping it grow alongside their children.

Season after season, the "kiosk" has become a landmark, but without ever losing the simplicity that made it special. The secret has been staying true to ourselves: the sea and sun of Gallipoli are our backdrop, but it's the commitment of a united family that creates memories that last a lifetime.

In 2010, the baton passed into the hands of Marco Leone. Raised amidst the scent of salty air and the tales of his mother Pina, Marco took the helm with a clear mission: to honor the past while maintaining that sense of familiarity that is the true hallmark of Crystal Beach.
